Places To Eat @ Elizabeth Beach
The Pacific Palms Recreation Club (“The Recky”) is a very short drive (it’s walking distance) on the Lakes Way, overlooking Wallis Lake. Our experience is the fresh fish, steaks, baked dinners, and, of course, the local Wallis Lake oysters are great. The outdoor deck and grass areas below have a great view over the lake, making it a good place for a drink at sunset, or for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

Huey’s at Bluey’s is a pizza bar in the strip of shops on Boomerang Drive at Bluey’s Beach. It is very casual and has a great holiday feel. The pizzas are very good. You can BYO wine and it is also licensed. It is a small place, so it is best to book at busy times.

Kembali Cafe is across the road from the main strip of shops in Blueys Beach. It is an Indonesian themed cafe that does great smoothies and juices. Opens for dinner in holiday season.

Monin Seafoods is at 13 Rodmay St (off Grey Gum Rd) Tuncurry and also at Red Spot Boatshed in Forster. The local oysters and small school prawns are sensational. The Mahi Mahi, Jewfish and Swordfish all BBQ well. For special occasions we have ordered live lobsters about a week ahead and they phone the local fishing boats and have them caught to order, a great service! Just a little further away, the Pacific Palms Bowling Club also has a very good bistro. It is on Macwood Road, Smith’s Lake. This is the main road into Smith’s Lake, off The Lakes Way.

Finally, the takeaway food at the Metro Service Station in Charlotte Bay (202 Charlotte Bay St) is excellent (burgers and wraps) and there is a good Foodworks next door for local grocery shopping. Amongst the shops at Bluey’s is a take-away milk bar with sit down cafe attached, good for coffee and lunch. There is also a pie shop/bakery around in Smith’s Lake and the Frothy Cafe in Smith’s Lake is good.
As you would expect, everywhere is child friendly. It can get busy in holiday season, so we recommend you book and/or plan to eat-out on the quieter nights of the week.
For the more adventurous, Forster-Tuncurry is just 16 km’s north. It has plenty of restaurants and bars of all varieties and prices.
