Local Wildlife...
There is an ever growing family of lizards - Eastern Water Dragons - living around the house. They often sit on the wooden decks in the afternoon sun. They are completely harmless, they keep the insects away, and are increasingly comfortable around people.
Do beware of the local Kookaburras! Over the years we have had a whole steak taken straight off the BBQ hotplate and numerous sandwiches swooped straight out of someone's hand. Like the lizards, they are harmless - they just like your food! Of course, at the right time of the year you will see migrating Whales, plenty of Dolphins, or the incredible seasonal Mullet run from the local beaches!
